Comment, confirm or flag entries

You can comment on other entries to add additional details and confirm or flag entries.

To comment, confirm or flag entries, a GeyserTimes account is required. If you don't have a GeyserTimes account, you can sign up to GeyserTimes for free.

Comment on an entry​

  • Visit GeyserTimes with your browser.
  • Log in to your account.
  • Open the eruption or note you want to comment on.
  • In the tabs, click Add Comment.
  • Enter your comment into the text field.
  • Click Add Comment.

Confirm an entry​

  • Visit GeyserTimes with your browser.
  • Log in to your account.
  • Open the eruption or note you want to confirm.
  • In the tabs, click Add Confirm.
  • Click Add Confirm to proceed.

Flag an entry​

Flags are only intended to mark eruptions and notes that are either incorrect or inappropriate. In all other cases, comments are considered the proper way of communication between users of GeyserTimes.

Entries that have been flagged twice are considered as a risk for the data integrity of the GeyserTimes database and are automatically deleted. However, correct usage of the provided flagging tool by the user community is crucial for this assumption.

  • Visit GeyserTimes with your browser.
  • Log in to your account.
  • Open the eruption or note you want to flag.
  • In the tabs, click Add Flag.
  • Enter your comment into the text field.
  • Click Add Flag.
